I Rod Sparkes live in Cleethorpes and used to race in the cleethorpes imperial; flying club as Sparkes and Hurst from 2000 to 2004 then i raced from 2004 to 2006 as Sparkes and Anna smashing many records in the club and east sect federation alone the way.In 2006 due to domestic reasons i decided to stop racing and concentrate on breeding were i have had fantastic success breeding champion racers and breeders plus R.P.R.A Award winners all over the world .The base of my pigeons are the Van De Rhees which i obtained direct from my ex racing partner Kevin Hurst who made sure i got the very best and are all bred from his champions which he was the first man to fetch into this country in 1995, I also own direct pigeons off Adrie Van De Rhee him self .It is a known fact that the two best racers Sparkes and Hurst ever owned were “Champion Young Armando” 17x1sts 3x1st sects 3x1st opens and 42 prizes 1st Ace young bird 2000 and 1st Ace old bird in the federation 2002.The other champion was “Champion Terminator” 11x1sts 3x1st sects and 3x1st opens plus 2nd sect and 2nd open beaten by young armando “Terminator was unbeaten for the 1st Ace old bird in the club in just the two years he raced 1st Ace old bird 2003 and 2002 in the federation winning a R.P.R.A. Award.I own 3 direct from him and 9 direct children off his brothers and sisters .”Champion Young Armando” i own 3 direct from him and 7 half brother and sisters to him. Most of my pigeons are bred direct from my No 1 Hen and No 1 cock Champions Wondergirl and Trooper to amazing breeders of many champion racers and breeders. My pigeons and there children are breeding many champions for other fanciers including 1st open Emerald Classic One Loft Race, and 1st open North Coast Classic One Loft Race both in 2009 and were both hot spot races .These pigeons are breeding winners up to 25,000 birds in the N.I.P.A. and will compete against anything.
